Does your injury or medical condition make everyday tasks a struggle? Is pain making sleep impossible? Has your mobility made you a prisoner in your own home? Does medical information make your head spin?
If so, we can help.
Once you’ve completed our support request form, or emailed us we’ll give you a call to find out what’s going on. Then one of our team will meet you at home in your community or arrange a phone or video call.
From there, our nurses and occupational therapists tailor your support to your needs. Giving you the confidence to continue your healthcare journey independently.
Our nurses and occupational therapists have experience working with veterans, and many have served in the Armed Forces. They understand your background and can support you to create a healthcare plan that improves your quality of life.
Does walking and movement cause pain? Maybe you’re having difficulty hearing? Whatever physical challenges you face, we can help you get equipment to help manage your illness or injury.
Are you having trouble seeing a doctor who really helps? Our nurses can advise the right questions to ask so you get treatment that makes a difference. Perhaps you can’t make sense of medical information? We can help you understand your diagnosis, medication, and treatment options. Or maybe you simply need moral support at a medical appointment? One of our nurses can sit beside you.
Our occupational therapists (OTs) can show you new ways to manage your illness or injury and improve your quality of life.
Having trouble sleeping? Pain and poor mental health often make getting a good night’s sleep impossible. We can help you get into a good routine throughout the day and at night to help improve your sleep.
Do you need changes in your home to help you get around and use rooms? Perhaps it’s difficult to have a shower or bath, and to wash properly? If so, we can suggest ways to help, like having some adaptations made to your bathroom. We can also look into grants and funding to help you cover home adaptations.
Our clinical and medical team works closely with a small group of veterans who are very seriously injured and need long-term support and care.
Thanks to medical advances people have survived serious injuries from war zones, that 10 years previously they would have died from.
This is of course an amazing cause for celebration. It also means there’s a generation of younger veterans who need specialist care and rehabilitation for the rest of their lives.
We offer veterans and their family help through every twist and turn their illness or injury takes.
We want healthcare to enhance people’s life - enabling people to thrive, not just survive.
If you’re in pain, or if you feel anxious, stressed or lonely, we can help.
We can also help if you’re having money troubles, or need support with housing or applying for benefits.
You might just need a listening ear. We can provide that too. Start your recovery journey today by getting in touch.
Either submit a form, or call us on our helpline.
