RAF Flight Sergeant Malcolm Rose said he hopes competing at the Invictus Games will give him back his sense of purpose and fire in his belly. “Before my accident, sport was my life. I trained twice a day 6 days a week and I thrived on competition. It was what I was about. It was me.” He wants to proudly serve his country again and make his family proud after all of the support they offered him. “I need that fire in my belly which competitive sport can bring and to do it in a military team representing the UK would be getting a bit of ‘me’ back.”
