General Election 2024: The Veterans Pledge
In the run-up to 2024's General Election, we called on the next government to commit to supporting veterans and their families. Discover the outcomes of our 'Veterans Pledge' campaign here.
We amplify the voice of the Armed Forces community. We champion their needs to Government. We fight for what we believe they deserve.
At Help for Heroes, we enable veterans and their families to live well after service. We support anyone in the Armed Forces community facing challenges by providing physical, psychological, financial and welfare support. Our knowledge and expertise lie particularly in supporting long-term health conditions, both physical and mental.
In the UK, there are vital gaps in care provision for veterans and their families.
Founded in 2007, we're actively engaging with politicians, the Office for Veterans' Affairs, the Ministry of Defence (MOD), the NHS, and local and national government bodies, to address these gaps and end the injustices that veterans face.
Alongside other Armed Forces charities, we supported the passing of the Armed Forces Act 2021, and successfully led the campaign to reinstate the Veterans Mobility Fund alongside Blesma, the Limbless Veterans Charity.
Through rigorous research, we have identified the key challenges facing today’s veteran population. Ahead of the 2024 General Election, we set out our own Manifesto. Read about our policy priorities for veterans.
