Adrianna's update: London and the South East

Two big highlights for us in the South East this month must be our curry night and the Roald Dahl Museum.

On Thursday 2nd, 15 of us headed into Milton Keynes and broke naan bread while having a brilliant catch up and getting to know some new faces. I will put on another soon in other counties, so keep your eyes on your inbox!

Without a doubt, the Roald Dahl Museum was truly magical and special for all involved. The museum is in Mr Dahl’s old house where they have filled it with lots of his personal items, storytelling, facts on the movies, an enormous craft room and much more. It was brilliant to see you ‘grown up’ BoB and BoS enjoying it just as much as your little ones you brought.

“So what’s on next month Adrianna?” I hear you cry! If you would like any more information or would like to register your interest on any of the below events, please let me know on: Adrianna.bennett-yard@helpforheroes.org.uk

Philippa's update: South Central

November started in Portsmouth where I spent a couple of hours in the morning talking to the Ripple Pond.  A great charity that support the wives, partners and mothers of WIS veterans.  The afternoon was spent at VOS where I met several new BoB and BoS.

We held a respite weekend for those that care for someone with a brain injury which was a great opportunity for everyone to have some time to themselves and get to know some other BoS in a similar position.

I held a regional get together at the RBL drop in centre in Swindon and it was lovely to see some of you there.  We are hoping to make this a more regular event next year.

We have had two BoS Christmas cake decorating evenings here at Tedworth House.  By the end of the two evenings we had some beautiful cakes.
