Adrianna's update | London & South East
September in the South East can be described as nothing else other than, ‘a little bit Gucci’. We have had some amazing get-togethers. Two of the highlights were a tour of McLaren by McLaren’s daughter (something that isn’t open to the public) and the red carpet event to watch Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
As ever, I welcome any suggestions you have for get-togethers or, if you have seen any venues you think would be a good place to meet other BoB and BoS, just get in touch and I will try and make it happen.
In October, I only have three get-togethers booked in as I am away on annual leave. If you are on Facebook and fancy meeting up with other BoB or BoS, why not post there and see if anyone locally would like to do the same?
What’s coming up?
- Manzes Pie and Mash, London, Friday 6 October
- Skiffing, Surrey, Sunday 8 October
- Pumpkin picking, Kent, Friday 27 October
Pip's update | South West
At the beginning of the month 3 BoS came to Tedworth and were part of a fun day picking fruit and vegetables in our beautiful garden and then as if by magic they cooked a delicious lunch. Once we had mastered the temperamental cooker, a wonderful vegetarian lasagne, crumble and mixed green salad was prepared.
The Little Zoo visited a couple of weeks ago. They brought with them an assortment of cuddly and some not so cuddly little critters that were happy to be handled and discussed!
There was another karting session with Mission Motorsport at the Thruxton karting track in September. This is normally a monthly event so if you are interested in attending then please let me know and, when the next date comes in, I will make sure you have the details.
Last weekend saw the last Anger Management course of the year being delivered by the psychological wellbeing team. There will be more courses next year so keep an eye open for the dates if you would be interested in attending. Those that attended during the year have found them very useful.
I went to the Gloucester Brews and Wets allotment. It was a gorgeous sunny day and we managed to sit outside and have coffee, cake and a catch-up. If anyone lives near Gloucester and would like to know more about the allotment let me know. It is a great place to chill out with like-minded people and grow some of your own fruit and veg as well.
