Be here for our heroes - forever
With friends like you on our side, we can face any challenge.
Essential information about our free Will-writing service.
We’ve teamed up with two trusted partners, Bequeathed and the National Free Wills Network, to help you make a simple Will for free.
Writing a Will is the best possible way to provide for the people and causes you love. And if, after taking care of family, you feel able to leave a little to those who give their all, you can change the future for wounded heroes and their families. Every legacy has the power to change a life.
Both of our services includes a free consultation with a legal professional. So, whether you choose the convenience of starting online (Bequeathed) or prefer a face-to-face appointment (National Free Wills Network), our partners will ensure your Will meets your needs.
If you can’t decide which service to use or have any questions at all, Maxine in our legacy team is happy to help. Call 01725 514965 or email legacies@helpforheroes.org.uk
WHAT IF MY CIRCUMSTANCES ARE COMPLICATED?
Most people’s needs are covered by a simple or standard Will. If your requirements are more complicated, such as involving business interests or setting up a trust, you can still use the service but may be asked to pay for any specialist work needed. Your solicitor will advise you of any potential cost so you can decide what to do.
DO I HAVE TO LEAVE A GIFT IN MY WILL TO USE THE FREE WILL SERVICE?
Using our Free Wills service doesn’t place you under any obligation to leave a gift, but we hope you’ll take a moment to imagine the difference your legacy could make.
Bequeathed is a simple and convenient service that allows you to make a Will from the comfort of your own home, and at a time and pace that suits you. Every Will For Good includes 30 minutes of free legal advice, and your appointment can be by phone or video call, at home or in office.
The National Free Wills Network helps charity supporters write a simple Will through a face-to-face appointment with participating specialist solicitors across the UK.
In a complicated world, it can sometimes be hard to imagine how one person can make a difference.
But you can. We see it every day. And it’s amazing.
Told he’d never walk again or have children, Tony has fought every day to rebuild his life. Now he has a beautiful family, a state-of-the-art leg brace and big plans for the future. But don’t take our word for it: hear Tony’s incredible story from the man himself.
“What Help for Heroes has given me is more than a leg brace. They’ve given me my life back.
“If you’re thinking of leaving a gift in your Will, I’d like you to know how much your support means so much to us. From me and my family – thank you.”

There are plenty of positives about giving to charity. Tax benefits, however, usually aren’t things people consider.
