AI powered technology will empower Help for Heroes staff to support even more UK veterans

We are excited to be partnering with Global IT solutions provider CDW, who have committed to support our critical work using AI integrated technology and specialised training.

The technology is provided by CDW, partnered with Intel and HP, who are donating over 85 Intel® Core™ Ultra’ HP devices, supporting the use of the AI for Citizen curriculum. The equipment will empower Help for Heroes to advance its mission of helping veterans live well after service.

The integration of AI will improve efficiency, creating a better beneficiary journey whilst also enabling veterans to build valuable skills and knowledge in AI - an increasingly vital area of knowledge in today’s digital landscape.

Advancing digital equity is at the core of our Social Impact strategy at CDW. Through this partnership, we are delighted to be able to provide access to technology and the training needed alongside this, benefiting both the veterans and volunteers of this incredible charity. By equipping Help for Heroes with cutting-edge AI integrated devices and specialised training, we hope to empower more veterans to transition smoothly into civilian life and thrive in new career paths."

Head of Defence and Secure Government at CDW

As well as all new AI integrated equipment, the partnership also provides Intel’s online specialist AI training for veterans and Help for Heroes staff. They will receive valuable education in this innovative field, which can be a powerful tool in helping veterans transition to new career paths after their service has ended.

The partnership launched at Help for Heroes head office in Downton with a training day led by Intel, equipping staff with insights and hands-on experience in AI technology.

This partnership reflects CDW’s commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant and its mission to support veterans, reservists, and their families. The Armed Forces Network at CDW is an internal Business Resource Group committed to promoting, recognising, and celebrating the unique experiences and valuable skills that veterans contribute to the company.

Its mission is to create a network that supports veterans and members of the wider community as they transition from military service into corporate roles, for CDW’s collective success.
