Alf Turner Reaches Fundraising Milestone
Updated on
Our decade-long partnership has reached a significant fundraising milestone. Take a look at all that's been achieved since 2012.
The partnership began when Paul Turner, CEO of Alf Turner, introduced a range of premium sausages using his grandfather’s traditional family recipe. Backed by Dragons' Den star Peter Jones, Paul set out to honour his family’s roots while giving back to the community close to his heart.
The inspiration runs deep - Alf Turner himself served 20 years in the Royal Army Service Corps before opening his butcher’s shop in Aldershot, the British Army’s hometown. For Paul, supporting our Armed Forces and their families was a natural choice.
What started with award-winning sausages soon expanded into an irresistible range of products:
In 2017, the Alf Turner range was recognised with the Best Brand Licensed Food or Beverage Product or Range award at the Brand and Lifestyle Licensing Awards, triumphing over household names like Guinness, J20, Jamie Oliver, and Magnum.
Every pack in the Alf Turner 'in support of' range contributes 2p to Help for Heroes, raising over £293,564.32 to date. This funding has directly supported veterans and their families, helping them rebuild their lives after service.
Having seen first-hand the incredible work the charity does for our forces' heroes, it was an obvious choice from me to commit myself and my business to helping this incredible charity. My commitment to Help for Heroes is the same, and that is support for life."
