Heroes Hikes are a great way to challenge yourself, explore the UK's best hiking spots and support our Armed Forces community.

These charity one-day hikes are more than just a fundraiser for our amazing veterans; they’re an opportunity to reconnect with nature, meet new friends and feel a real sense of achievement from taking on such a rewarding challenge.

    • Heroes Hikes are all about having a great time. There's so much you can get out of the experience:

    • For every Heroes Hike, we’ve got you covered with:

      • Our friendly Events Team, on hand to answer your questions.
      • Expert guides leading the way and supporting you every step of the hike.

    • You can sign up for as many hikes as you want! We've grouped them into four exciting bundles: Three Peaks in Three Months, Best of British Countryside, Coastal Routes, and Historic Hikes. Why not challenge yourself to complete a set? Or mix and match your favourite locations.

    • If your dog is well behaved, kept on a lead at all times and is cleared up after; then they are welcome to join us. Livestock are kept in fields and mountains along the routes and the surrounding areas, as well as many hidden holes and cliffs, which can be extremely dangerous to a dog focused on chasing other animals (rabbits, birds, sheep, other dogs etc). Please keep your dog on a lead for this reason. Please also bring dog poo bags to clean up after your dog.

      If you do decide to bring your dog, please let your Event Manager know. They will be in touch with you following your registration or you can email them on events@helpforheroes.org.uk.

    • Here’s a general outline for the day of your hike:

      • 0700am Recommended time for breakfast (this is not provided to you on the event)
      • 0800am Arrive at the start location for registration
      • 0830am Kit check and safety briefing
      • 0900am latest planned departure time
      • 5:00 PM+: Challenge complete! Arrive back at the event car park

      Please note that these timings might change slightly. You’ll receive full details 2 weeks before the event.

    • All Heroes Hikes are open to entrants aged 10 and over.
