There are two events happening in 2025:
Run, roll or walk; the choice is yours! The Heroes 10K can be taken at any pace, it's all about having fun.
This event is perfect for everyone, from beginners tackling their first distance run to friends seeking a group challenge, or experienced runners ready to push beyond their usual routes.
Registration is open to anyone aged 16 or over.
When you sign up and take part in the Heroes 10K, you'll receive:
The 10 kilometre route is just over 6 miles. Depending on ability, on average takes around 2 hours to complete.
Yes, the race location and route are wheelchair accessible. You're welcome to cheer on friends and family, or register yourself and join in the fun.
Running a 10k as a beginner is achievable. Committing to a regular training plan 8-12 weeks before the race will help you have the best experience on the day.
Over the 8-12 weeks you should vary the distance to gradually build up to the full 10k. Following a plan specifically for beginners can help structure your training.
The Heroes 10k is an accessible run that can be taken at any pace depending on your ability. Walk, run or roll the route, we'll cheer you on along the way.
