Invictus Games Highlights - 17 April 2022

AthleticsIt was an excellent first day of Athletics out on the Track and Field.
The Invictus Games is an international sporting event for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women, both serving and veterans.
The fifth Invictus Games, presented by Jaguar Land Rover, from 16-22 April 2022 were hosted in The Hague, bringing together over 500 competitors and 1,000 friends and family from 17 nations.
95 personal bests were achieved amongst the 59 competitors across 9 sports, along with 17 Gold, 12 Silver and 21 Bronze medals. This is a tangible representation of just how far the competitors have all come in their recovery journeys, and the power that sport has to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect for those who serve their country.
