Our clubs run nationwide, with training sessions, tournaments and matches moving around the UK. We’ll provide equipment, accommodation and cover some food costs, so all you need to do is bring your competitive spirit! Here’s a selection of what you can try. 

Wheelchair Rugby

A fast paced and exciting high impact, full contact disability sport, combining elements of rugby, basketball and handball. Often played in mixed gender teams.

Wheelchair Basketball 

The biggest Paralympic team sport in the UK, this fast-paced sport brings disabled and non-disabled people together to compete in thrilling, action-packed games.

Sitting Volleyball

A great way to keep both your body and mind agile, this tactical, low impact sport is played between mixed gender teams of disabled and non-disabled players.

How to take part

New to Help for Heroes? 

If you're new to Help for Heroes and would like to join a community club or find other activities in your area, you'll need to go through our ask for help process. No stress, our friendly support team will be in touch, and they'll help you get signed up. 

Already getting support from us? 

I miss the camaraderie. That's why I come to Help for Heroes’ activities. It's an easy environment to challenge myself, to improve my mental health because most people here have been through something similar, so they get it. I’m not judged.
