This Reserves Day (26 June), Help for Heroes is thrilled to announce a brand-new partnership with NEXT that aims to unite and bolster both organisations' support for UK veterans and their families.

NEXT intends to fundraise nationwide, host awareness-raising events and support its reservist and veteran colleagues with resources from the charity.

Taking positive steps for veterans

NEXT has made steps to increase their support for veterans, helping to raise awareness about available career opportunities and the positive impact veterans' skills can have in the workplace.

In January 2023 they established their own community for the Armed Forces in the form of their Uniformed Services Employee Led Community.

NEXT has also signed the Armed Forces Covenant, a promise from the nation that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly. They will actively be working with partners and local employers to support recruitment for reservists and veterans.

The launch of the partnership coincides with Armed Forces Week (24 to 30 June) which is an opportunity to show support to the Armed Forces community, from serving troops and reservists to service families, veterans and cadets.

Tom Holyoak is an Infrastructure & Cloud Services Team Leader at NEXT and Army Reservist. Tom said "As an employee with NEXT and Active Army Reservist it’s great to see NEXT supporting the Help for Heroes charity and also signing up to the Armed Forces Covenant which ensures those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces and their families are treated fairly and should face no disadvantage when compared to other citizens".
