Leaving a gift in your Will is a special and positive way to remember a loved one and help their legacy live on.
For many of us, the death of a loved one makes us reflect on what’s really important. We learn so much from our family and friends and they’ve made us the people we are today. So, it’s only natural to want to preserve and protect what made them special - the spirit and values that made them our hero.
If your loved one served in the Armed Forces, had military connections, or supported our work during their lifetime you can continue their legacy by choosing to leave a gift to us in your Will.
Over the years, many of our friends have left a legacy in memory of a family member or friend, linking together different generations of veterans from World War One to the present day.
By leaving a gift in your Will you can be part of this honourable tradition and commemorate your hero with a pledge of support to those who follow in their footsteps.
A daughter’s final tribute
When Celia Williams passed away, we were honoured and humbled to learn she had remembered us in her Will.
Celia’s father served and was injured in World War One, and she herself survived the Blitz and worked with NATO during the Cold War.
Celia lived her life with a strong sense of duty, and we are proud to be part of her lasting legacy.
How can I leave a legacy in memory?
Leaving a legacy gift to commemorate a passed loved one is a wonderful way to help future generations.
Leaving a legacy doesn’t cost you anything during your lifetime, but it could be the most far-reaching gift you ever make to your favourite cause. Legacies come in all shapes and sizes, but every gift has the power to save and change lives.
